POLICE have dismissed photographs of a man in handcuffs holding human flesh reported to have been arrested after he was caught preparing it for food.Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi further dismissed another picture of a man with a swollen face believed to have been beaten up in a fight over his views on bond notes.
He encouraged people to use social media for constructive purposes, “Police have looked into circumstances leading to the circulation of some photographs in Mutare to find out if there are any people arrested over feasting on human flesh, “said Chief Supt Nyathi.”
We are warning members of the public that are doctoring degrading pictures and posting them on social media that the law will catch up with them.
No arrests have been made in Manicaland over such a case, “he added. Chief Supt Nyathi said if there is anyone who was attacked over his views on bond notes, they should come forward to a nearest police station to allow the law to take its course.
